Designer Bench Musings

The vibrancy of new morning light is bursting into the studio, the air is fresh. Birds are sharing their new day celebration song as they frolic, feed and play. The frogs are slowly recovering after a night of hopeful partnering song. All around me are the cloaks in many shades and textures of green, worn individually and collectively by each plant forming a motif of dense rhythm and line that frames the property where the studio lie.

My senses are ignited as I settle into the studio space, through my hands glass is shaped, fashioned, ground and positioned into just the right form. I dream into colours, shapes and possibilities of changing states through kiln and flame. This expansive space of flow offers insights captured by my constant companion journal, always at hand on my studio work bench.
